Job Description

GOAL AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Overall responsibility for process and product quality. Assure that finished goods are of high quality and are produced according to specifications by managing and coordinating the activities of Physicochemical Laboratory.

Manage and maintain the QA systems (ISO, FSSC, HACCP, GMP; Pest control and Sanitation activities) in line with the local legal, corporate JDE requirements and Plant Manager’s guidelines in order to achieve the quality goals for the Plant/Site.

Job Description

  • Manage and maintain QMS at the plant in a way which ascertain continuous improvement of quality KPI’s.  Support development of relevant QMS and EMS procedures and work instructions. Perform internal audits of QMS and EMS and suppliers‘ audits.
  • Accomplish control and undertake corrective actions according to ISO, FSSC and corporate S&E requirements.
  • Manages activities and performance of plant Physicochemical laboratory. Assures quality of incoming GC and pack materials; SFG and FG by testing them according to specification requirements. Achieves products consistency with specifications and working towards continuous improvement of processes and products in collaboration with Production.
  • Ensures food safety of all manufactured products by implementing the relevant legal and corporate JDE requirements (e.g., GMP, HACCP, ISO, FSSC etc.).  Develops, implements and co-ordinates HACCP plans. Maintains contacts with state regulatory agencies to assure required level of product safety and quality.
  • Manages sanitation and pest control activities according to legal local requirements and corporate JDE requirements.  Develops and maintains plant sanitation and pest control procedures and working instructions.
  • Participates in cross-functional and cross-department activities; manages and co-ordinates knowledge and information exchange to ensure consistent approach to all aspects of product quality and food safety.
  • Ensures proper planning and monitoring of the QA department’s budget, plans investments, and prepares appropriation requests.
  • Agrees with any projects at the plant.
  • Supports actively the CIP process at the plant.
  • Executes all department related procurement activities – choosing suppliers, preparation, signing and tracking of contracts, negotiates and controls terms of activities execution.
  • Supports R&D for all new product and product change projects.
  • Reviews and approves product specifications. Creates and maintains BOMs in SAP.
  • Pillar leader of MOS (TPM) QA stream.
  • Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; lead ethically and model compliant behavior; maintain an environment where employees can speak up without fear of retaliation; ensure employees in area of responsibility understand the compliance responsibilities of their jobs and actively participate in the compliance program.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-6 years of experience in production environment
  • University degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or Economics (focus in Food Industry is preferred)
  • Experience in FMCG business sector and/or in an international environment
  • Experience of managing people and function at lower level
  • Experience with Quality Systems and SSE
  • Good knowledge of ISO quality system and QCMS, HACCP standards
  • Good knowledge of the National and EU Food Safety regulations / JDE policies and procedures
  • Good English skills & PC knowledge literacy
  • Very good command of MS Office applications – Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • High level of communication and organization skills / Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • SAP knowledge will be considered as an advantage.
  • Driving license
